Mimi, Tathy and Pyon |
I thought that being 20 is weird. Well, adding a year is weirder. Now, I don't need my parents' consent, I'm legal to drink in any country and the body clock is ticking. I'm now officially...a Korean punk-style girl group (go figure!).
What could make this day memorable?
- Ah, well...I slept all throughout the morning. Best achievement in a birthday.
- I celebrated with my college buddies in...the clinic storage room! With its dark, gloomy, dusty and horror-movie-like setting.
- And I had sparkling candles that smell like firecrackers...
- I didn't have a birthday cake. Instead I had a giant homemade brownie (from tathy with love).
- People were trying to greet me in my FB wall...but apparently they can't. lol
- I treated 3 people in a nearby local eatery. I'm poor. lol
My bday giant brownie with thin sparkling candles...over a rotting wooden table...lol |
In the strangest place to celebrate... |
What is your menu for the celebration?
FILIPINO CUISINE! I decided to have a dinner with Filipino touch with my mom and dad. It's a first time for my birthday and it made me full. Looking at those photos...I warn you: You'll be hungry.
The yummy Sizzling Pochero. Very juicy~ |

My college buddies did a little celebration for me. The homemade brownie was a nice treat and the friendly birthday card surprised me. I kinda like how simple and weird that Tuesday in the year was.
What is your song for the day?
Your Birthday Message?
Ellie Goulding's cover of Elton John's 'Your Song'. It just reminds me of a lot of things and this version somewhat made me nostalgic...I'm entering a new decade.
Now, I can sing Suga Shikao's '19sai' chant: "Daikirai no boku 19-sai." hahaha
Oh, I miss the 90's and the early 2000's.
The first hing I have to face in this new year given to me is to be able to clear the final stage of my course. it has a slow start, but a it gives me encouragement. This is the first time for me to go outside the country to research. By the end of the month, I'll be going to Singapore. Wish me luck. By October, I'll be living independently (going away from home for a while). And by the next year, expect me to be an insomniac. I hope this new year will be fruitful like the last one. I'll always continue to pray for my family and friends that things will be better for this new year God has given me.
Oh, I miss the 90's and the early 2000's.
