Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei!

This show was fun. and who would have thought this manga would make want to cry. The story of Nozomu and Kafuka was a heartbreaking one.

It was such a nice ending.
"Mind blowing ending. The biggest gag anime turned to a tragic bittersweet romantic masterpiece within 12 pages (and lots of reread/rewatch)."

Note:
Kumeta planned everything. Hints and symbols were shown constantly, yet we do not notice. The hints and symbols are shown in every Opening theme. It might come off as disturbing or confusing or nonsense to most people.

Read the last three chapters to know what I mean. :D

Usagi Drop

This is one of the mangas I've read this week to unwind. I've been eyeing on it since earlier this year. For a Josei manga, it's quite light-hearted. The manga is writen by Unita Yumi and quite popular with plot twists. It's quite popular in Japan and just this year it has released an anime and a live action movie starring Matsuyama Kenichi and Karina's part of the cast (WAH how cool is that, no?).

The summary goes:
Going home for his grandfather’s funeral, thirty-year-old bachelor Daikichi is floored to discover that the old man had an illegitimate child with a younger lover! The rest of his family is equally shocked and embarrassed by this surprise development, and not one of them wants anything to do with the silent little girl, Rin. In a fit of angry spontaneity, Daikichi decides to take her in himself! But will living with this overgrown teenager of man help Rin come out of her shell? And hang on, won’t this turn of events spell doom for Daikichi’s love life?

The Anime Trailer (with English Subtitles):

The live-action movie trailer (no subs yet):
I'm actually looking forward to watch the movie. I want to see how they will portray the story with the amazing cast they have.

Hunter X Hunter Anime: Something to rejoice~

This made my day. As much as I want Hunter X Hunter to be continued, since the hiatus of Togashi Yoshihiro kind of made the HxH fans impatient, two good news were revealed. Starting this month, HXH manga is going to continue the Chimera arc and this fall a new HXH anime is to be released.

Well, I thought it would be the Chimera Arc, however...
A new Hunter × Hunter anime adaptation was announced in July 2011. Instead of continuing the story from the OVA series, it will restart the story from the beginning of the manga.[23] It will be directed by Hiroshi Kōjina, produced by Madhouse, and will feature scripts by Jun Maekawa and character designs by Takahiro Yoshimatsu.[23] The series is set to air weekly onNippon Television starting October 2, 2011.[23]
And I am surprised and excited. haha! I just hope that the soundtrack would be as amazing as the previous ones. :)

Edit:

And new Voice Actors? Hmmm...

REAL

Abbreviated Description: Kawajiri, a former wrestler, stated that after his ankle was broken, he considered giving up fighting. Inoue Takehiko, a legendary mangaka who created Slam Dunk introduces Wheel Chair basketball as cool and intense sport for the disabled. As the narration progresses, many of WC basketball players share their stories about losing their power to walk. All have questioned themselves, "why me?"   Kawajiri then discovered REAL and left an impression on Kawajiri. He is currently practicing WC Basketball.

The Real manga's concept is about the survival of people who have disabilities. Inoue Takehiko feels that when a person loses one's legs, it is as if one has died. REAL focuses on how people with disabilities are able to persevere and survive through hardships. And as they face their own demons, they will discover what true strength is.

This short video was from the 10th anniversary  of one of my favorite works from Inoue Takehiko, REAL. Takehiko's work inspires, motivates and moves people. That's what I love about his works...simply moving. Simply genius.
